    Wafugaji & Quality Meat Coop Society Limited (WQM)is a farmers-owned cooperative operating in ASAL regions of Kenya. 
    It operates as a diversified enterprise across serving meat producers in the region. 

    WQM spearheads smart meat production by availing top genetics to improve indigenous breeds to pack more meat, better and drought-resistant forage resources, disease-resistant genetics, silage-making technology, care - management, feedlot system, cost effective livestock input, fodder management and sustainability, livestock knowledge, trainings and research for consistent meat production.

    Our purpose is creating connections and availing solutions to empower livestock producers. 

    We are a livestock farmers-owned cooperative in Kenya. 

    Our diversification approach provide critical components to livestock genetics growth,  quality meat production, livestock inputs, market access competiveness and biosecurity management services that help farmers feed the world.

    Our Key Focus

    MARKET ACCESS:

    Negotiate collective meat prices and other produce, helping to eliminate exploitative brokers and secure fairer returns

    RESOURCE POOLING

    Members can access expensive genetics, infrastructure and specialized livestock equipment.

    TRAINING & EXTENTION

    Provide expert guidance on modern meat production farming techniques, sustainable practices, and livestock health management.

    FINANCIAL SUPPORT:

    Access to affordable loans for purchasing high-yielding breeds and managing farm operations.

    INDIGENOUS HERD IMPPROVEMENT:

    Enhance livestock genetics for quality meat (genomic selection, Estimated Breeding Values(EBVs) , marker-assisted selection (MAS), and crossbreeding) to improve indigenous breeds tenderness, marbling, disease resistance and growth rates.
